Day 1: Arrival at Leh

Your Ladakh tour with Global Trip Holidays will start from Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport which would be your onward destination. From the airport, you will be picked by our representative who will escort you to your hotel for check-in. The daytime will be free to get over from the jetlag. Complimentary tea or coffee will be served at the hotel in your room. In the evening, visit the famous Leh Palace - the 16th-century nine storey construction, Shanti Stupa - a magnificent white-domed Buddhist pilgrimage site, and Leh Market. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh to Sham Valley

After the breakfast, be ready to sail on your first road journey of this trip to Sham Valley. This road trip from Leh to Sham Valley passes along Indus River on Leh - Kargil Highway and is 4-5 hours long. In transit, visit the famous Gurdwara Pathar Sahib - a Sikh pilgrimage site which commemorates the first Sikh Guru - Guru Nanak. Thereafter, you will be taken to Magnetic Hill - an enthralling place which is known for a mystical reason. The cars here moves automatically at a maximum speed of 29 kmph and that too on a neutral gear. Driving further to Sham Valley, you will witness the surreal confluence of Indus River (the green and muddy water) and Zanskar River (the shiny blue water). Likir Monastery is the next attraction which you will explore while travelling from Leh to Sham Valley. Belongs to Gelugpa sect, Likir is one of the most popular monasteries in Ladakh that dates back to the 11th-century. Visit Rizong Monastery which is also dedicated to Gelugpa lineage and was built in the year 1831. Rizong is one of the most active monasteries in the region. In evening back to Leh, transferred to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Leh to Lamayuru

In the morning, post Breakfast start the drive to Lumayuru and in transit visit the famous Alchi Gompa - one of the oldest surviving monasteries in the region. From Alchi, proceed to Basgo town. Basgo is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Leh which is popular for its monasteries and castle. On your return to Leh, you will be accommodated to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Post breakfast, be ready to set a sail to Nubra Valley via Khardung La. This would be a 4-5 hours road drive. The drive will once halt at Khardung La where you will get a chance to relish the sweeping views of Indus Valley and Zanskar Range and Saser Kangri. Khardung La is one of the highest motorable roads in the world, and hence, is a popular tourist attraction in Ladakh. Later in the afternoon, you will reach Nubra Valley. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel/camp for overnight stay. Meanwhile, in the evening, you can go for village tour. A visit to Ladakhi home can also be arranged on a special request. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the camp/hotel.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Leh

Today, the day will start a bit early than usual with an early morning breakfast. Post breakfast, commence a drive to Hunder - the land of the cold desert which is also famous for Bactrian Double-Humped Camel rides. After the camel ride in Hunder, proceed for Leh. In transit, stop at Diskit - the town which houses a more than 500-year-old monastery. Indulge in a shopping tour in Ladakh at the local bazaar of Diskit. Proceed the drive to Leh via Khardung La. Upon arrival, check-in to a hotel for overnight stay. The rest of the day will be free for leisure.

Day 6: Leh to Pangong Lake

Post breakfast, proceed for Pangong Lake through a 5-6 hours road excursion. On the way, visit the popular sites of Shey Palace - the former summer capital of Ladakh, Rancho School which got famed from the Bollywood movie ‘3 Idiots’, and Thiksey Monastery. After exploring these places, proceed further to Changla Pass where the journey will take a halt. Changla is the third highest motorable road in the world and also one of the most beautiful sites in Ladakh. From Changla, you will be taken to Tangtse - another stopover destination from Leh to Pangong road trip. At Tangste, you will be served with a tea or coffee. Leave Tangtse and proceed towards Pangong Lake. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel/camp. Pangong is another movie famed place in Leh. ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and ‘3 Idiots’ are the movies that are shot here. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Pangong Lake to Leh

After the morning meal, you will be free to explore the region on your own. Later in the morning, you will be driven back to Leh. En route visit the Hemis Gompa - an 11th-century Buddhist monastery which belongs to Drukpa lineage On your arrival, you will be accommodated in a hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure from Leh

After an enthralling Ladakh vacation, this tour end on day 8. Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Ladakh Airport to board your flight back home. At the end of this wonderful excursion, you will be leaving some unforgettable memories to cherish for a lifetime. Tour & Services Ends.
