With one of the most flight journeys of your life, you will reach the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh. As you will land at the airport, you’ll be welcomed by our representative who will take you to your hotel for check-in through a luxury drive. Your first morning in Leh will start with a delectable breakfast. Followed by this, be ready for a drive downstream along Indus River on Leh-Kargil Highway. Hall of Fame will be the first stop on this sightseeing tour, a museum which was built by Indian Army to commemorate those valorous Indian troops who lost their lives during the Indo-Pak battles. From the museum, proceed towards Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Sikh pilgrimage site in Leh region which is built to honour the Guru Nanak - the founder of Sikh religion. Next on the Sham valley sightseeing tour is the mysterious Magnetic Hill. This place is known for a strange reason; the cars here starts moving automatically on a neutral gear with as fast as 20 kmph. Traversing the exotic countrysides, you will reach the most beautiful site in Sham Valley - the confluence of Zanskar and Indus Rivers. With the azure blue water of Zanskar and the muddy green water of Indus, the surreal convergence of both the rivers is a sight to behold. Drive back to the hotel. En route, visit the famous Spituk Monastery, the monastery includes a series of tiers with spacious courtyards and steps. This is indeed one of the most interesting places to visit in Leh. In the evening, drive back to the hotel for overnight stay.
After the breakfast, be ready for road journey of around 160 km from Leh to Nubra Passes that cuts through Khardung La. One of the highest motorable roads in the world, Khardung La is a gateway to Nubra and Shyok valley. On arrival at Nubra, you will be accommodated in your camp/hotel for overnight stay. The exquisite landscapes, vibrant colors, imposing mountains, gorgeous trails, and the dulcet sound of Shyok river in Nubra Valley will surely blow your mind away with just one sight. Meanwhile, in the evening you can head out for village tour in Nubra Valley to spend your leisure time. A visit to a local Ladakhi home can also be arranged on request. For dinner and overnight stay, head back to your camp/hotel.
The day 4 of Amazing Ladakh tour will start a bit early with an early morning breakfast. Followed by this, check-out from the camp/hotel and start a drive to Hunder - a land of a cold desert which is famous for camel rides. While on a return from Hunder to Leh, Diskit will be your pit stop. Located in Nubra Valley, Diskit is famous for a monastery which is more than 500 years old. While in the town, you have the option of exploring and strolling around the local bazaar area. From Diskit, drive back to Leh via Khardungla Top Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Leh for the overnight stay.
Post breakfast, you will be taken for a drive to Pangong Lake - a natural wonder and a famous site which have been featured in the Bollywood hits like ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and ‘3 Idiots’. En route to Pangong Lake, visit the famous Shey Palace, the Rancho School which has also featured in the movie ‘3 Idiots’ and Thiksey Monastery. Followed by this, drive further towards Changla Pass. The third highest motorable road in the world, Changla Pass is a perfect place for nature lovers to catch the sights of astonishing nature. From Changla, resume your drive to Pangong Lake. In transit, stop at Tangtse to unwind your body with a tea session. After tea, leave Tangtse for Pangong. Traversing the beautiful tiny villages of Changthang, you will reach Pangong Lake. Upon arrival at Pangong, you will be accommodated in camp for an overnight stay and dinner. Meanwhile, you can explore the resplendent beauty of the lake and its surrounding.
After breakfast, the morning will be free for your leisure time. Later in the morning, you will be taken back to Leh through a drive. In transit, visit the famous Hemis Gompa - a Buddhist monastery of Drukpa lineage that traces its history before the 11th-century. Upon arrival at Leh, you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
